Is GIS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited?

Yes. GIS is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited through the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), which is a signatory to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and is mutually recognized by NVLAP, A2LA and other ISO 17025 accreditation bodies through the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). This means, for example, an ANAB ISO 17025 accreditation is recognized and accepted by A2LA, and vice versa. What will my service experience be like?

From the initial conversation regarding your upcoming calibrations to the time our service engineers complete the work, you can expect the utmost in professionalism and customer service. Typical response times to your questions or needs occur within the same day.

Calibration certificates are completed onsite and proofed by GIS office staff. In most cases, calibration certificates are completed, proofed and provided to you within 1 business day. All calibration certificates are available through this website using an assigned username and password.

What is the expertise level of GIS service engineers?

All of GIS’ service engineers are highly experienced and well trained. Some GIS calibration service engineers hold Bachelors’ degrees in plastics engineering. Majority have 20+ years of experience in laboratory instrument calibration and repair. As such, our professionals are uniquely qualified to provide expert calibrations on a broad scope of plastics testing and analytical instruments.

But we don’t stop there. GIS operates by our commitment to the basic tenet of any sound quality system – continual improvement. Each year GIS takes on numerous improvement projects to ensure that through training and innovation, our service engineers continue to improve their skills and expertise, so that we can provide our customers the best service possible.

How comprehensive is GIS’ calibration program management services?

GIS can set up and manage your entire calibration system for you. Whether you choose to use your own calibration management system or not, all of your calibration reports, past and present, can be accessed through GIS’ web portal using an assigned username and password.

GIS will also contact you with reminders well in advance of the calibration due dates so that your operations never risk interruption. Lists of your calibration-due-equipment are provided so you can quickly identify your upcoming calibration needs and plan accordingly.

Can GIS help my laboratory attain compliance with ISO 17025?

Yes. GIS also provides QA and QE consultation services. With experienced and ASQ certified quality professionals (CQE/CQA) on staff, we provide the following services to the plastics, geo-technical, manufacturing, oil & gas, and biomedical device industries:
